Saint Patricks Day Shamrock Card, by Glenda
I had a request for a Saint Patrick’s day card idea. After looking thru the catalog and not coming up with much I decided I’d give the Pansy Punch a try at making a Shamrock.
Here’s the card I came up with:
I think it turned out pretty cute. The customer was happy so I’m happy.
To create the Shamrock I used the Pansy Punch #130698 $15.95.
The Whisper White circle is the 2 1/2″ Circle punch #120906 $16.95. After adhering the “Shamrock” to the circle I ran it through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots folder #117335 $7.95.
The Gumball Green Mat behind the circle was made using the Starburst Framelits Dies #132967 $26.95 and the Big Shot.
The Gumball Green DSP is from the 2012/2104 Designer Series Paper Stacks #130137 $21.95.
The “Cheers” is from the Happy Hour stamp set #132013 $29.95 or #126642 $21.95. It was stamped using Gumball Green ink and matted onto a piece of Gumball Green card stock. The ends were punched using the Hexagon Punch.

Peaceful Petals by Sandi MacIver
Stampin Up Peaceful Petals Grunged!
It finally quit raining here in Portland and the sun popped out, and spring flowers are popping out of the garden like crazy, so it was time to get my flower on!….with a little background grunge of course!….
This week’s sketch from Stamping and Blogging has a cute layered sentiment piece,
So I created mine with the Designer Frames Embossing Folder and then layered it over the Labels Collection framelits (second from the center)
and colored and cut out a few flowers and leaves to embellish it with….Looks hard right? It’s so easy just two ink pad lids and my Aqua Painter!….The strip across the bottom, was embossed with the Delicate Designs Embossing Folders.
I love how it provided some beautiful texture for my background, and then of course I had to add the Gorgeous Grunge Stamps and Off the Grid, behind my painted flowers for some added depth to the picture I was creating.

Watercolor Butterfly
I’ve really been into watercoloring. I even brought a watercolor project to the March Shoebox meeting. I love the dreamy quality.
After watching a video by Heather Telford I tried the technique she shares. My sample certainly did not turn out as well, but I still like it just the same. I think I used too much water.
The verse and butterfly are both images by The Angel Company (TAC). The ferns are two different images the larger one is by Rubber Stampede called Solidago Sprig. The smaller image is by Annette Watkins and only has a number on it; C1054.
I sprayed the finished card with some homemade glimmer spray and dotted randomly with glue and sprinkled some champagne glitter.
